The holidays are all about spending time with your friends and family. It’s when our dark winter nights are transformed into a winter wonderland with colourful lights, cheerful music and plenty of festivities – no wonder it’s called the most wonderful time of the year!

Make the most of this holiday season by visiting these nearby activities:

Headingley Christmas breakfast

On December 7, stop by the Headingley Community Centre between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. to enjoy a complimentary breakfast! Say hello to Santa, enter to win raffle prizes and create holiday crafts. Guests are encouraged to bring a tin for the bin in support of Winnipeg Harvest.

Story time with Mrs. Claus

From December 2-19, Mrs. Clause will be visiting Shelmerdine Garden Centre to share her favourite Christmas stories to children between the ages of two to six years-old. Afterwards, kids can enjoy creating a holiday craft to take home. Hurry and book your spot quickly as tickets are limited!

Easton’s fairytale vignettes

Visit the Children’s Museum until January 6, to view 15 fairytale vignettes that have been restored and open to the public for a limited time! Classics include Cinderella, Three Blind Mice, Humpty Dumpty and much more!

Stay in

If you’re looking for some low-key activities to enjoy in the warmth of your own home this holiday season, invite your loved ones over to create DIY wreaths, bake cookies or enjoy an ugly sweater party. You really can’t go wrong when choosing activities; as long as you’ve got the holiday spirit in your heart.
